Accounting Clerk
Classification: Non-Exempt, Reports To: General Manager in Administration

Summary/Objective
Manage all accounting functions, job costing, logistics, buying and vendor management for individual department. Directs the establishment and maintenance of the organization’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the maintenance of its fiscal records and the preparation of its internal financial reports. Appraises operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends, and increased profit opportunities.
Essential Skills & Functions
- Keep journals for inventory, labor distribution, materials, timecards, and wholesale cost-and-sell data.
- Completion of all job costing (time and materials) and recommended job pricing.
- Record all departmental inventory account adjustments and corresponding expense account adjustments.
- Assist in collecting accounts receivable.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of all vendors, their addresses, and any other relevant information, as directed by supervisor.
- Assist in conducting credit research on prospective account as directed by supervisor.
- Perform operational support including completing and sending quotes, invoicing, customer, follow-up, status communication with customers, buying from vendors and vendor management and timely completion of end-of-month closing.
- Maintain organized and professional work area.
- Assist other office departments with skilled and non-skilled duties as approved by supervisor.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and reasoning abilities while utilizing strategy and creativity.
- Effectively multi-task and prioritize accurately and timely.
- Convey a professional image at all times.

Physical Demands
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, squat, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull and sit/stand for 8 or more hours a day.
• Must display excellent time management skills, be able to work with little or no supervision and communicate regularly.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically 7:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. However, evenings, overtime and weekends may be required occasionally to fulfill the business demand.
Work Environment
Working environment may include indoor/outdoor areas in various departments and will require vigilance and care.
Travel
May be required with the use of a company vehicle.
Requirements, Education and Experience
- Must show eligibility to work in U.S.A.
- Associated Degree in either Business Administration or Accounting or 4 years job related experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and staff.
- Knowledge of database and accounting computer application systems.
- Must have experience in issuing PO’s and Invoicing Customer.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
