Summary/Objective

The Industrial Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and aligning industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in manufacturing, processing, construction, power generation, and other industrial facilities. This skilled tradesperson ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime while adhering to company safety standards and industry regulations.

Essential Skills & Functions

• Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent recognized trade qualification.
• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience with precision alignment, rigging, and equipment installation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Certifications in rigging, crane operation, confined space entry, or fall protection.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull, reach overhead and stand for 8 or more hours a day.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and bending.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Capability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30a.m. – 4:00p.m.
However, overtime, weekend work, and emergency call-outs may be required to meet business demand and must be requested and approved by your manager.

Work Environment

Working environment may include indoor/outdoor sites such as manufacturing plants, refineries, mines, power plants, food processing facilities, and heavy industrial construction sites which requires constant vigilance and care. Frequency in exposure to dust, protective finishes, mechanical parts, electricity, noise and vibration.

Travel

May be required as needed.

Requirements, Education and Experience

• Must show eligibility to work in U.S.A.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be able to effectively communicate.
• Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in an industrial setting.
• Prefer 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Must have basic tools to complete tasks in this trade.
